Steve is a nice guy. Actually Steve is a really nice guy, too nice for this day and age. And he believes that people are just as nice and noble and honest as he is. That's why he always gets prank'd on April Fools.
Tony is the exact opposite of Steve, in fact, Tony takes advantage of people like Steve. So in that morning after some weird blue sticky substance exploded right in Steve's face when he opened the freezer, Tony promised that was the last prank of the day. It wasn't. Not that he had anything planned, but he would think of something.
Of course, Steve didn't know he was lying, because Steve always believed people and that was a serious problem. Tony was sitting on his couch, looking at some projects on his laptop, Steve was sitting next to him reading a book. The projects were giving Tony a headache, because they weren't designed by him and they were so boring, so he stood up and walked to the mini bar on the corner of the living room.
"Do you want a drink?" Tony asked Steve as he poured a good amount of scotch in a glass.
Steve took his eyes from his book and hummed in thought. "A lemonade would be nice."
"A lemonade? Are you serious? I'm not gonna make a lemonade, Ste-" He stopped as an idea crossed his mind. "You know what? Never mind. I owe you for this morning's prank."
Tony took a sip of his drink while looking at Steve, searching for any signs of suspicion, but the man only smiled at him a went back to his book. Stark went to the kitchen, putting his glass down on the coffee table on the way, and came back around 3 minutes later with a tall glass of... Lemonade.
"Thanks." Steve said as he took the glass. He didn't notice Tony staring at him as he brought the glass filled with lemon juice and salt to his lips and took a large sip, spitting it out a second later. "Tony!"
"April fools!" Tony laughed as Steve glared at him.
"You said you wouldn't-"
"I say a lot of things, Steve."
Tony was still laughing as Steve went on and on, listing all the childish things Tony does on a daily basis, everything from pranking to the way he tries to annoy Banner just to see what happens.
"- and one day it'll all turn against you and I'll have to save your ass from the Hulk-"
"You talk way to much." Tony interrupted, getting closer to Steve with a smirk on his face and kissing him before he could keep on rambling. He quickly drew back, though, a frown on his face. "You taste awful."
And Steve kissed him again.

A STony Farewell
"Do you have to go?" Tony was pressed against Steve, speaking directly with the Cap's sternum.
"Do you have to wait until we're at the airport to get emotional?" Steve was smiling into Tony's hair, his arms resting on Tony's waist.
"I'm not emotional." Tony retorted, his arms around Steve's neck. "I just
I don't think Bruce will be able to work knowing you're not at Stark Tower to keep us safe."
"I'll be fine," Bruce piped up from behind them, his hand in Clint's. "Agent Barton is enough protection for me."
"I think he just hit on me. Did you guys here that? That's what I heard. Bruce Banner just h

The 'L' Word
Music: Breakthrough-Colbie Caillat
-----------------------------------------
Tony didn't often say the 'L' word to anyone. He loved people, of course he did. He'd loved his mother. He loved Pepper for all the things she's done for him in the past and will do for him in the future, but he'd never really loved someone.
Not until Steve.
Tony didn't know when he fell for Steve Rogers. He'd always hated when his father would talk on and on about Steve. When the two met, they didn't have a moment to talk because Loki was hell bent on taking over the world, and Thor was hell bent on taking Loki back to Asgard.

Numb
"I'm sorry, Mr. Stark," the cop's voice was sympathetic, but hollow. The horror of what he had just seen-the mutilated bodies of the child and the man, the remains of the car- were right behind his eyelids, threatening to burst forth from the walls of his memory every time he so much as blinked. "I really am."
"It-it's not your fault," Tony's voice was weak, nonexistent. He couldn't think. He couldn't breathe. Everything he knew-everything he loved-was gone. Just like that. "It was-I
excuse me." Tony turned around, walking back into Stark Tower and closing the door in the cop's face.
